Advance Credit Union are a local community credit union, that offer services in savings and loans. Their mission centres on promoting financial security, trust, and community growth.

It was important for me to adopt the credit union’s community spirit and provide an educational and engaging value on the in website, communications and in social media content.

  • Enhance member engagement through meaningful, educational social media content.
  • Increase new member onboarding via organic content and paid ads.

I created engaging and educational content for Advance Credit Union’s Facebook and Instagram, featuring member spotlight posts, financial tips, and seasonal campaigns such. Since joining, I’ve driven strong growth across Facebook and Instagram. On Facebook, reach is up by over 1,230%, link clicks have grown 20%, and content engagement is up more than , while followers increased steadily by nearly 8%. On Instagram, I’ve boosted follower count by 34% and tripled reach in under a year.

Advance Credit Union


While social content was the primary engagement tool for Advance Credit Union, the website also needed to serve as a practical, member-focused resource. My role was to rewrite and modernise the majority of the site’s content, making it clearer, more accessible, and aligned with a more modern look and feel.

Working within the organisation’s requirements, the homepage design remained largely unchanged so that loans stayed as the primary focus. However, I rewrote much of the services and informational pages, simplified user journeys, and ensured the overall tone was welcoming and easy to understand.

This project involved:

  • Rewriting content across services, savings, and membership pages.
  • Collaborating with the design team to update page layouts and visual style for a cleaner, modern look.
  • Maintaining consistency in voice while improving clarity and accessibility.
  • Supporting Advance Credit Union’s goal of making financial services approachable and trustworthy.

Results:
The updated site better reflects Advance Credit Union’s supportive, community-focused brand while offering members a more user-friendly and attractive browsing experience.


SEO | Paid Ads | Event Marketing

Alongside social media work, website development and design, I have also contributed to a wide range of marketing activities that strengthened brand presence and engagement across different channels.

SEO (search engine optimisation)

I pay close attention to the details that help content perform online. From choosing the right keywords to making sure pages follow SEO best practices, my goal is to create content that’s easy to find and enjoyable to read. I regularly carry out SEO audits to spot opportunities for improvement and keep sites running smoothly.

To guide my work, I use tools like Google Search Console, Moz, and Ahrefs, helping me track performance, understand search behaviour, and adjust strategies where needed.

Paid ads on social media

I’ve managed paid campaigns on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, creating ads that not only look good but reach the right audience. My role covers everything from writing copy and designing visuals to setting up targeting and monitoring performance.

I focus on making ads clear, engaging, and aligned with the brand’s goals, whether that’s boosting awareness, generating leads, or driving sales. Along the way, I test different formats, track results, and refine campaigns to get the best return.

This ad ran for a single day with a modest budget of £23 and achieved 126 link clicks at a cost of only £0.18 per click. Despite the time and budget limitations, the campaign successfully drove more website traffic, a starting point for Advance Credit Union’s purpose of wanting more online traffic and social media conversions.

I have actively participated in a wide range of events and trade shows, leveraging each opportunity to promote businesses, build meaningful connections, and acquire new clients. These experiences have allowed me to develop a strategic understanding of event marketing, from identifying the right events to engaging effectively with attendees.

In addition, I have produced a variety of marketing materials to support campaigns and event presence. This includes designing and creating flyers, banners, posters, and branded merchandise such as pens. Each piece is carefully crafted to align with brand identity and maximise audience engagement.
